What to do if someone won’t stop texting you?

Normally I would just block this person and move on with life, but in this case I have to often interact with said person in real life situations. On top of this the person is struggling with some issues and I don’t want to tip them over the edge. I just am getting annoyed with the excessive texting even though I stopped responding around 65 texts ago.

I set random alarms to go off throughout the day so I feel like people are texting me

Silence(mute) the texts so that they are not blocked but the texts do not come through.
Either that or continue to monitor the texts and only respond to ones that you feel a direct need to do so.

What’s the theme of the texts?
Is the person just bored and looking for conversation?
Are they drunk text late at night and annoying or harmful, embarrassing ?
Are they work related from someone overbearing or needing constant validation?
Post some good screenshots.
