If they are a grown Adult just tell them to stop texting you so much in a nice way.
If that sends them over the edge, I wouldn’t worry about it because at that point SOMETHING was going to anyway.

Maybe you can bribe her into shutting up if you give her the what she's thirsty for. We've all had some that weren't our proudest but we did what we had to do.
Or, just be an adult and say "please stop sending me so many texts" and if they're not emotionally equipped to handle such a benign request for personal space then that's their problem
