What vehicles still have live 12v outlets (cigarette lighter) when the vehicle is off?

Spin off from no power, phone nearly dead thread
I have an old Dodge Ram (2005). It has three outlets that are still live when the truck is off.
My other two vehicles, 2016 Lexus and 2016 Nissan, their outlets only work when the key is on.
That is stupid. Do any new vehicles have outlets live when the key is off?

Should be able to do that on any vehicle. Need a tester and move to a slot that is hot when key is off.
12v outlet fuses should be labeled.
Edit.. May have to buy a jumper to switch slots on some cars. My old Chevy had them side by side.

Then don't bitch when your battery fails after about 18 months, and blame the damn battery/car.

A phone charger or dash cam, etc isn't going to hurt your battery.
A satellite TV set up, or an air compressor might though...

Powering the TV for an LSU tailgate is also not a good idea if you want the car to start after the game, or so a friend tells me.

It is pretty simple to get fuses to work like this. You could have two runs to the fusebox from the 12v outlet (or anything else) and with the fuse in one position it could always be powered and moved to another it could only receive power with the switch turned to ACC or ON.

2012 CR-V has 2 live 12V when moving the fuse. I learned this in google in a random power outage that lasted more than 6 hours.

It’s exactly how it works in this situation. There are two fuse slots, one end of both slots are tied together, and connect to the 12v outlet. The other ends of one slot connect to a always on 12v source, and a 12v controlled by the ignition key. Just move the fuse to the appropriate slot for always on or ignition controlled 12v outlet.
