Not Thunderbird Beach. I’m talking I-12 and 4-H Club road.

Wasn't it owned by the Funfair park family?

Is the Old South Jamboree still around? I remember seeing David Allen Coe out there years ago.

I remember it well. Went there a few times, and got chased off by an angry man whilst riding dirt bikes back in the day.
BTW, Baton Rouge had an actual skateboard park too around the same time period. It was off Florida Blvd between Flannery and Stevendale where the old Skate City was.

Closed down. Probably around the time Blue Bayou opened up. Maybe a couple of years before BB opened. Eventually the man made hill was removed and Bass Pro Shop was built.
I used to love going there for the Exxon family days as a kid.

Worked there for one summer. Also worked at FFP and Skate City. Had great jobs as a kid.
