I h e had the same pair of costas since 2005. Have prob sent them in for repairs 4-5 times and only paid shipping. Had lenses and frame replaced multiple times. About to send them In again because my toddler broke one of the arms.

Since they sold, I hear it’s not as fluid a process. I’d recommend going through a third party company that handles (tackle shop, etc.).

Just got 2 of mine replaced for free that had broken frames. You can only pick from what they offer so if yours are an old model then you might end up with a different pair but still better than a broken pair.

I have some Mag Bay that I scratched the lens badly. They said they couldn’t repair and sold me a new pair for like half price. I’m gonna buy some aftermarket lenses for the old ones.

I’d argue that point. All I had to do was submit some pictures and then send them off. Couldn’t have been easier.

I actually reached out because I have a cracked lens. So, what I was told was that they are currently not accepting returns for service, but you can send in your old pair for a discount on a new pair. They said they expect to start taking service requests beginning in the fall.

From their website: "Unfortunately, our Repair Program is currently unavailable. We are working as quickly as possible to make the program available again. We apologize for the inconvenience. In the meantime, you can get 30% off a replacement pair of new sunglasses by submitting a claim below."

Bought both pair from seperate people on Marketplace who got them for Christmas and never wore them.

They still were in the boxes and had the stickers on them and everything. Paid $50 for one and $40 for the other.

Had a pair of old Tags. No longer made either. Went online, filled out the warranty repair questionnaire with pics of damage. A few days later they said yep, they qualify for replacement. Got some brand new Saltspray tortoise shells for free. No money spent.

So for me that worked out pretty well.

Rayban used to have a very responsive customer service group and would bend over backwards to satisfy their customers....since the Italians/'Luxottica' took over, it's the COMPLETE OPPOSITE....I'll never purchase their products again !

Just received my new replacements this week. Total time from making claim was about 3 weeks. No complaints from me with Costa.

That’s interesting, because their warranty doesn’t cover “wear and tear”. How’d you pull this off?

I have sent in two pairs twice. Both times they claimed it was wear and tear but they only charged me for one repair and sent me two brand new pairs each time.

They’re experiencing really long return delays with Covid. 60-90 days to get your money back.
