Daughter (no pics) is needing a new car, has about a year left of college.
She can afford about a 200-300 dollar car payment.
Honda Accords, Civics?
Toyota camry, corrollas?
For your troubles

I mean, she's really cute, but...
Check IIHS safety ratings.
Honda> Toyota in that space.

I bought my daughter a Lexus ES350 and it was awesome right up until she hit a deer and totalled it. They can be had in very good shape for around 10k.
Super smooth and comfortable
and got around 25 mpg on rural back roads.

I’ll pay for it - she doesn’t have to worry about it.

Lexus sedans and RX (small SUV) are a dime a dozen at the 10-15 year old range and under 150K miles. A friend of mine was entering PA school and needed a cheap car, so they bought an ‘05 with 115K for $8500. That was back in 2019 or 2020 and you can still find that exact car…for $8500

I’m trying to convince my son of the same thing without telling him what to buy

I prefer the big brother, Buick Regal.

We’ve had three Toyota Camry hybrids…. All have been great, efficient vehicles that also looks nice. That would be my suggestion.

Toyota Camry, Honda Accord. Both still in production, both classy enough plus sporty enough for a young lady, and will get her out of college until she can afford to get her own vehicle…

Toyota Corolla hands down had a 2006 model the odometer went out at 299,999 mileage. I had to have drove it another 150 to 200 myself before I sold it in 2016 to a guy I work with. He is still driving it today!! I am on my 2nd one now and currently at 220k miles and haven’t had an issue yet.

I think your daughter can find some baw who is willing to pay 2 or 3 times that a month for her car.
and it's very possible she may never have to work a day in her life.

there are some great end of the year lease deals going on
honda and hyundai are your best bets
dont be afraid to negotiate on lease deals. push for zero down and go from there
the advertised price is not the best price. and make sure to shop around. let the dealer know youre going to other dealerships and will settle for the best price
