Ask the receiving departments at any major grocery store. They usually have them coming out their ears.

i can sell you some 3 bucks a piece all you want. and most stores wont give them to you. they go back to a distributor. especially the blue ones those sell for 5 bucks a piece

They don't trash them, some vendors buy them back and there are companies that buy them and resell them.

Not a good idea to use pallets as furniture unless you treat them with them pesticide.
