I’ve listened to almost all of his HH stuff. What is the best shorter episode to show someone else what the fuss is about?

I laffed at “shorter episode”.
But DC is the man.

If you’re looking for shorter episodes then check out his earlier episodes. The series about the eastern front had relatively short episodes if I remember correctly

Blitz episode "Destroyer of Worlds" I keep this episode downloaded incase I get stuck on a plane or something.

Isn’t that episode like Six hours long?

Thoughts on Churchill is my favorite short one; he calls them “blitz” episodes. He goes into a bit of his own history and how he (Carlin) relates to a... tough.. father as with Churchill

IIRC Blueprint for Armageddon was pretty short.

What’s the best way to access the older ones? I’m assuming those aren’t on Apple or Spotify.
Can’t wait to listen to the latest Supernova of the East he just put out the other day.

Blitz episode "Destroyer of Worlds"
That may be my favorite single episode show, but The American Peril and Prophets of Doom are close. All are over 4 hours, Destroyer of Worlds is almost 6 hours. Carlin keeps getting longer and longer (and it's worth it). Wrath of the Khans, for instance, is a 5 episode series that is maybe 3 hours longer total than the single episode of Destroyer of Worlds.
Carlin has gotten better with is voice over time as well. I wouldn't start with any of the first few.
Blueprint for Armageddon is the best thing he's done IMO. 6 part series on WWI.

Check out his “common sense” podcasts. They are shorter and are history based commentary on current events. I think his last one came out in January.

I like them, but Trump supporters and leftists are both going to find reasons to get pissed off. He's been doing a LOT fewer Common Sense shows over the last 4-5 years, basically because it's nearly impossible to know the truth of what's actually happening (his own take). And everything is so polarized. He tries to keep things somewhat close to the vest on his own opinions but I'd put him more in the Libertarian camp than anything. The show he did after Trump won in 2016 was really good.

He also has HH: Addendum Podcast. These are all about 1-2 hours. The one on the U.S.S. Indianapolis is amazing.

Ding ding ding. These are very recent and free.
Although a dollar a show is all we ask

Painfotainment was good. Nightmares of the Indianapolis might be my favorite thing he's released.

Honestly though my favorite has been the Supernova in the East series about the war in the pacific. It’s multipart (and still ongoing) and they are all 5 to 6 hours but well worth it,
