Spinoff on the Ole Miss girl thread, say if you were accused of murder or caught with 20 pounds of drugs in your car, who would be your go to guy?
Eta: Any interesting stories or cases with this lawyer would be cool too.

The answer is Ralph Whalen. No one close in my opinion

Matt Coman
Former federal prosecutor helped ex-DEA agent Chad Scott escape any convictions at the trial.
I graduated with Coman from Tulane

Mike Small.
You’re guilty if you need him

That should be a verse in the Bible.

Coman is an interesting pick. I don’t disagree, but it depends on the type of case.
Something fricky was going on with that Chad Scott case.

Steve Lemoine in New Orleans.
Ralph Whalen is good, but at times he takes too many cases and gives short shrift to his lower paying clients.

Richard Simmons hands down.
In MS, Rufus Aldredge.
The decades long St. Tammany DA hired Simmons to defend him. I would assume that the chief prosecutor for 3 decades would know who is best equipped to defend him.
Jacques Bezou Sr. Is very good.
Thad Ackel is a very talented up-and-comer.
