The ouriboros is the symbol for alchemy and the caduceus is symbol for Hermès.

Randy Muller or Mike Bogel at Eye Candy. A bit of advice...don't listen to these idiots that say you don't need a good tattoo artist for a simple design. Get the best you can find...you only get what you are willing to pay for. You will have to schedule months in advance for both these guys. I've got appointments scheduled with Mike for October and November.

If we're gonna be pedantic, Asclepius is the Greek god of medicine, not the symbol for medicine. His staff with a single snake twined around it is the symbol for doctors and medicine. The caduceus, with twin snakes and wings, is not a symbol for medicine, though it is often confused with the staff of Asclepius.

Dr. Feelgood's symbol is a weird mix of the caduceus and the staff of Asclepius and a sword.

They really are. I joke around with the NOLA EMS guys all the time that they're not officially employed until they get the EKG tattoo.
