Baby Boomers are 1946-1964.

Mellinials are 1980-1994

So yeah some Millenials have parents who are Gen x.

So late boomers having kids in the 20s we’re having Millenials.

This first sentence is enough to disqualify the rest of your post.

Boomers are the offspring of "the greatest gen" when there was a baby boom after WW2.

It's my understanding that Millenials and Gen X were mostly born to Boomers, but some younger millennials likely born to older Gen X parents.

Boomers grew up with strong/successful/independent parents and mostly lived the American dream. Often times Boomers were/are successful and successfully progressed technology and had a counter-culture that ushered in a lot of social freedoms (good). However, they get a bad rap because that counter-culture also supported a socialismesque type fiscal governance (bad) that worked for THEIR short-term benefit, but has now crushed the next generations with inflation and transformed the "American Dream" to be more Urban European type "dream."

So the history of cheap, affordable and decent housing as well as affordable independent transportation has created animosity toward the Boomers as people instead of the policies that ushered in the crazy inflation! Many Boomers think that government is the answer, and unfortunately have raised a lot of their kids to fall into the same trap which causes the cycle of animosity to continue. I'm hoping fiscal responsibility returns with the Zoomers and Alpha!

Incorrect. Millenials are born mid-late 90s-2010 or so

1980-1994 are Generation X

Stupid younger person = millennial
Stupid old person = boomer

Words take on different meanings all the time. Sure that raging bitch has a name, but she's a Karen no matter what.

I guess it could mean that as a garbage can term to all young people, but really Boomers are people in their later 40s and over 50. Early 40s are Gen X.

no that’s Gen Z.

Millennials are kids who were coming of age during the turn of the millenials, not being born 14 years later.

You are correct. I always looked at 1980s kids as Gen Xrs.

When I looked at Wikipedia, I misread it.

Millennials are most definitely 1980/81 - 1996 or so. I don't know the exact start or end, but it's that range. No idea what the hell you're reading. I know, because I was born in 1988.

My parents are boomers (1952 & 1956).

My parents are boomers, my dad did refugee flights out of Vietnam, and I'm a millennial.

you’re no expert on using wikipedia either

quote:

Researchers and popular media use the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years, with the generation typically being defined as people born from 1981 to 1996.[1][2]

LINK

my theory is that for the last 20 years people just assumed 15-22 year olds are millenials, and that hasn’t been correct since 2009ish.

Millenials are in their 30-40s.
