Because I generally don't like Christmas music and don't listen to the radio.
Easy question.

I never sympathized with the Grinch until I heard Wham’s “Last Christmas.”

Carol of the Bells is the best Christmas song

Legitimately the only place I've ever heard it.

The way I explained it to a friend over lunch last week (while being assaulted by Christmas music) is that I have no objection to Christmas music in the abstract. My objection is that most Christmas music is objectively awful, which is why we don't listen to it the rest of the year. The most egregious offenders don't even have a narrative; they just repeat Christmas/holiday/season/etc/etc kind of mad lib style for three minutes. I can't imagine being a server or retail worker during the holidays. It would drive me insane.

The Night Santa Went Crazy and Christmas at Ground Zero, both by Weird Al, should get play time.

It has something to do with his recordings after 1985 and licensing. You can’t listen to the album on Spotify fwiw

Andrea Bocelli - Angel’s We Have Heard on High
Hands down, greatest performance of a Christmas song I’ve ever heard

His version for that song isn't on Spotify which probably doesn't help it much.
The biggest issue though is probably that it just doesn't sound like a Christmas song unless you listen to the lyrics. The actual music could be to any random slow jazz song.
