Why does the doctors office weigh you with shoes and clothes on?

I did a home test and the difference was 6 pounds. That’s a pretty big difference to make decisions off of.
“You need to lose 10 pounds.”
“Ok I’ll take my clothes off.”

If 6 pounds makes that much of a difference, you're fat.

It’s a doctors office. They should be used to the human form.

most people are so fat that the weight of their clothes is just a drop in the bucket

Are your clothes made of lead?
Everyone else takes off their shoes. Dummy.

My doc lets me take my clothes off and weigh in nude. I’ve never heard of a place where they make you keep your clothes on. That’s preposterous.

I would think because of the scales location it’s better to just keep clothes on and subtract a standard number for people in certain height groups

Because they don’t care how much you weigh and it’s faster that way.

Another good point. I can shave .75-1 pound off with a good morning poo

id argue the opposite. 6 pounds a whale of a person, who gives a frick give or take. 6 pounds on someone fit at low body weight percentage could make a huge difference.

Because they weighed you with shoes and clothes on last time. They don't really care about your weight, so much as they care about weight change. It's too much of a hassle to have everyone strip all day

Is your doctors office run by Catholic priests?

At a doctor's office, no. For an airplane holding multiple people, yeah.

Do they ask you to pose too? Mine basically demands it, says it's part of the physical examination.

Tell me how a doctor's scales are off over 15 pounds?
Blew my mind when I stepped on it a couple weeks ago. I was 16 pounds heavier than I was when I weighed the day before. So, just to make sure, I bought a new scale on the way home and weighed on my old one and the new one. Yep, same on both and the same I weighed the day before.
16 pounds. And on the wall in their exam room was a printed paper sign that suggested you ask them about their "Weight loss shots". What the hell?
