Why is someone getting paralyzed at the chiropractor the top story in my news feed?

Medical errors cause an estimated quarter million deaths and many more than that maimed each year and are the 3rd leading cause of death in America. What does the media gain from trying to scare people over something so incredibly rare? They do the same thing to black people with police shootings when other black people are statistically who they should be hiding under their beds from.

I just said the medical establishment does this 250,000 times a year. Some random chick dying at a chiro isn't news, much less the top national story on Apple news. It's a scare tactic, I just want to understand why.

I actually know someone that had this happen to them. She suffered a stroke, but thankfully recovered. It was an arduous process.
