Yeah this looks like a set up. In the video, the person walked back to the passenger side after the shooting never even grabbed the door to open it to see what happened. Something isn’t right. Also, I wonder if it was women shooters? Watch it end up being some white women that we’re getting nasty with the big boy.

Awful stuff. Capitulating to these thugs is not the way to go about things though. Instead of taking good things away from good people, they need to ramp up enforcement and get these rats off the street.
That area isn't "bad" but there are some sketchy areas that are close enough to walk to it. It looked like a planned hit though. I'm sure we'll find out more about who was beefing with who to cause this.

I can already see the Dateline
A gas station. A quiet stretch of highway. And a woman sitting in the passenger seat of a gray car in the early hours of a Louisiana morning.
Nothing unusual about that.
Until suddenly... everything was.

I think it’s very intentional. There’s no reason for a group of young black males to go right through downtown Hammond shooting things up other than to create fear in and intimidation of the patrons.
Reverse gentrification, if you will. Show the civil population that there’s really no safe place to go, and they stop going. Over time, the businesses that drew the civil people close and the area becomes a shithole.
Start canceling events because these idiots force you to, and they win.

She was set up by the driver. They waited until the driver got out and away from the car to shoot the passenger. Not a random shooting.

Just watched HPD press conference. Targeted killing, mistaken identity. The driver and passenger left work at nearby facility and were followed. Car was stolen in McComb MS Tuesday. The targeted individual was in the vehicle earlier, but not at time of shooting. They have 2 (maybe 3, don't remember) people as suspects.

Hammond, as well as most of Tangipahoa Parish, is quickly becoming a complete shithole. The crime will always (eventually) align with the demographics, and there is no way around it. It is not the Hammond of even 5 years ago, the downward spiral is extremely accelerated.
