Met Lucas Black outside Tiger Stadium after the Auburn game in ‘15. He played Mike Winchell in FNL the movie. My buddy and I were shitcanned and recognized him yelling out “Mike Winchell!” He was super cool, talked to us for like 15 minutes and took a pic with us.

I see Morgan Freeman quite often on the golf course. I jumped to the back 9 once because of slow play. Smoked a nice drive down the center of the fairway. Morgan drives up behind us. I turn around and tell him what happened and said go ahead and play through. I tell him I just hit a beautiful drive about 90 yards from the green in the middle of the fairway, feel free to play my ball. He played my ball and kept it!

Met Mel Gibson once. Story documented over on the "Pics from days gone by" thread, page 974.
Numerous politicians in DC one year, including Livingston from LA. Ted Kennedy's big black SUV almost ran over my wife and I at the capitol.
Numerous minor celebrities on the Alabama sideline when I was an active photographer with a press pass. Two of the nicest were Taylor Hicks and Sara Evans. Finebaum not so much, but that's hardly a surprise. Stood in line to ride the elevator up to the press box at Bryant-Denny, had about a 15 minute conversation with Bart Starr. Super nice guy. List also includes a large list of Bama players and coaches, including Saban.
Met several people who were on-air talent at ESPN while getting a personalized tour from Rece Davis (one of the nicest guys in the world). Linda Cohn was exceptionally gracious and nice.

Dad graduated with Jimmy Buffett. When he would fly between his FL house to his Galveston home, he would stop and refuel in Houma. Jimmy would always give my dad a call and they would meet at JB & Barbra’s Frost Tops to grab lunch. Dad would slide him a few 5lb blocks of P&D shrimp. I must have made this trip with dad at least 50 times not knowing exactly who he was except that it was just my dads friend Mr. Jimmy. I kick myself all the time now not taking the chances to see him in concert because I took that relationship for granted…

Alec Baldwin - was working at blockbuster during the college years post-Katrina and he came in looking for some weird arse obscure movie. Pretty sure it was just an ego stroke for him to be fawned on while he was in town doing 'work' for Habitat for Humanity. Chatted for a bit, seemed like a nice guy. Everyone in the store at the time just about had a heart attack when they turned around and saw him.

Donnie Walberg at a car show in Amelia Island, FL. Didn't even know it was him until about a year later. I was looking at a vintage car and Donnie(random guy at the time) asks me what do I think? I told him it's very nice but I do not know much about cars. He then starts to tell me him and his brother(Mark) have a shop back in Boston and he and his wife(jenny Mccarthy) were in Florida for the weekend. He points at a Blonde haired attractive lady about thirty feet away it was Jenny but I had no clue it was her. Long story short I thought this guy looked familiar but that was about all I remembered about this encounter. It was about a year later I saw Donnie on TV and then it all came together it was him and the woman was Jenny. This is my celebrity encounter
eta: One more My wife and I were in Hawaii buying a coffee and the guy right next to was Anthony Hopkins. He walks off and the lady selling coffee said he goes there all the time.
honorable mention: Was a server at a private resort in Ponte Vedra Beach. I waited on Nancy Kerrigan and her old arse husband and they were very nice. She was alot smaller than she appeared on TV

I gave a real-time feed of my encounter with Kurt Russell on a flight we took together from Aspen to Denver. I wasn't cool enough for the OT so nobody acknowledged it.

Last Christmas I took a picture for some random girl with Danny McBride in Charleston Place. He looked homeless. When I gave her phone back he shook my hand and said Merry Christmas brother. We exchange Christmas cards now we’re so tight.
Saw Bill Murray at a Riverdogs game a few years ago. Surprisingly there wasn’t a crowd all over him, so I left him alone.

JB & Barbara were good people. Ate there often in the 90’s IIRC, old and new restaurants. JB was also a good parish councilman.

Back in 1998, my family was at a graduation dinner at Bonanno’s on Airline Hwy. I was walking to the bathroom and accidentally bumped into a guy by the bar area who was solid as a rock - like he didn’t budge and I literally bounced off him. He grabbed my arm to steady me and said something to the effect of “Sorry bout that!” and he smiled and quickly patted my shoulder and walked on.
As I was at the urinal taking a leak, I kept thinking I knew that guy from somewhere. Then it hit me - it was Ric Flair.
Anyway, he was in BR for some signing event and was having dinner with a few people a few tables over. They were getting hammered on wine.
He seemed really gracious and signed every thing anyone brought to his table and shook hands (this was before the prevalence of cell phones, so nobody was hounding him for selfies). Overall he seemed like a really solid guy.
As the evening progressed, he got more lit and a little louder which got my brother and me hyped up and then he eventually let out a loud “Wooooooooo!” and I swear all the guys in the restaurant pumped their fists unironically.
It was a fun experience.

I’ve met Roman Harper two separate times, really a very nice guy. Held the door open for prime Buff Bagwell at a beer store, he nodded. Saw Sara Evans close up but didn’t “meet”, my god she was so hot.

Justin Wilson when I was a kid. He flushed the urinal and said “chooo that water jump out at chu!” Don’t ask me how I remember that but it’s true.

About 30 yrs, I ate at Gautreaux's Restaurant and seated right in the middle of the restaurant was Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. I was there for a rehearsal dinner, so our party had the private dining room upstairs, while Cruise and Kidman had probably the worst table, right in the middle of the dining room. When I was leaving, the maître d' told us that Cruise had made reservations under a fake name, so they had no idea a celebrity couple was coming, so they got no special treatment. Also, when seated Kidman looked like she was a foot taller than Cruise.

Owl once kindly invited me to stay at his upscale Houston condo for the annual TD.com Pickleball tournament. I thought it was very strange that he had CCTV cams in all his bathrooms.
The top 3 finishers in the TD p-ball tourney were
Men:
1-Chicken
2-Oweo
3-PJ
Women:
Winston Cup

He installed them after a previous TD gathering at his place. Someone left him an upper decker as a surprise. I know who did it but will never tell.
