Any recommendations for the Gonzales area?

In your backyard. Go outside and play catch. 7 year olds don't need private lessons.

Great idea...never thought of that

David Miller for hitting or pitching. He works out of Ascension Tiger Cages in Prairieville.

Lil man hit the target on the dunk tank clown this past weekend. Future Nolan Ryan? I think so

If he's over 6 and you haven't paid for private lessons yet, hang it up.

Lighten up Francis. My son really did hit the target at the fair. I was proud.
I know my post sounds facetious, but its not.
Shoot, we were doing track meets all over louisiana , Mississippi, and Florida this spring/summer.

I've been around youth baseball for a long time coaching and working camps and to be honest there aren't many seven year olds that will benefit from a private lesson. Most of them just don't have the attention span or the ability to repeat the mechanics that they are taught.
With that being said, if you still want to get him some lessons then by all means do it. It can't hurt, I just don't know how much it will help.
Also, many people recommended David Miller and I can vouch for him. With the way baseball is these days there are tons of people giving lessons and some just use it as a money grab, but David is one of the good guys.

I'm cool with backyard father-son teaching.
But if the father doesn't have a baseball background it's potentially more harmful than good.
7 is not too early and paid coaching is the way to go if you don't know what you're doing.
Funny that everyone here will dis travel and paid coaching but soak up the Tiger fall practice info when every kid that made the team has a travel and pro-coaching background.
