Good news for young professionals.

Houston burbs will continue to be pretty strong. Hell…considering how much my property taxes are now vs 2020, I wouldn’t mind a slight drop.

House prices need to drop or slow less than inflation. Covid shortage really jacked up values.

Lower prices are already hitting some places. My daughter and her fiancé are buying an older house in a nice neighborhood in Mobile and getting it for far less than I would have ever imagined.

7 out of the bottom 10. What did we do to piss off Zillow?

People hate to hear it, but most of the bad stuff you hear about is concentrated in a relatively small area.

i was there in the 1990s and i was there in the 2010s.
it went to complete hell in that time.

you can't spin that one. you can't leave your hotel after 5PM, its like night of the living dead and thats no exaggeration.

San Francisco is an absolute beautiful city. The hellhole I imagine you're trying to reference is maybe 10% of the neighborhoods.
SF has all the potential and intangibles to be one of the top 10 cities in the world.

You sound like you were raised in the suburbs.

you can't walk downtown anymore. i know. i was there multiple times in the 1990s and it was beautiful and just a tad sketchy.
now you can't go move around downtown at all; good luck getting people to stay at the four season or walk the 2 blocks from there to moscone convention center.
i've been back; its scary and and a..

I stay in a hotel in SF every couple of months. I regularly take my 2.5yo and 4.5yo with me after 5pm. We even ride public transportation after dark for Giants and Warriors games.
Don't you live in Nashville suburbs?

Detroit was once the wealthiest city in the world and was often referred to as the "Paris of the West". Then they elected a literal card carrying communist in Coleman Young, and 50 years of non-stop "progressivism" later, you get "10,000 houses under $10,000 on the market".
SF should learn its lesson soon, time is ticking away.

Thats not true. I go at least 4x a year and stay by Oracle park and walk 6 blocks to my office. Avoid the loin and you're fine.
