Way less than a brand new one even a cherry Belgium nib. When they quit making the originals in 2000-2001 prices went through the roof and collapsed after they came back. Figure $750-$1,000 nib condition.

Round knob on stock or flat knob?
Round knob is older. I would assume if 63 has round knob. Late 60s changed to flat knob.

Just curious why you want to know what its worth if you arent selling it?

Maybe he's insuring it. Maybe he's writing a will and wants to divide stuff "evenly". Maybe he just wants to know for shits and giggles. Could be dozens of reasons.

I paid a guy $650 for his Dad’s Sweet Sixteen and it was a mid 50s vintage. Assessed value because of condition is $1050. I was lucky.

I love the old Belgian Brownings. I’ve tried all of my buddies’ guns over the years when they came up to hunt and still have yet to find one as sweet.
I’m sure some of it is simply familiarity. What you’re used to will probably always be your favorite, but still.
