One light burnt out this week. I finally went to change it today and noticed the other was out. Got new bulbs....still won’t turn on. Changed? the fuse and nothing. Swapped relays around and nothing. Checked the plug with the lights in the on position and only reading 7v ?both sides. Battery ready 14+v while on. Don’t know why it’s? only getting 7v at the plug. Any ideas??

A 4 or 5 year old General Motors product of any kind probably needs 1 of everything.

In all seriousness, I would bet on a short or just a bad wiring connection.

Yea I agree. Been lucky so far. Only thing I can think at this point is wiring somewhere. Just odd I’m getting 7v at the plug

I didn’t see your post over there. Hope they can help. Those guys are always tinkering with the K2 trucks

probably a bad body control module. There is also a Service bulletin out about poor headlight performance for your truck.

I had a similar problem with a Toyota Tacoma. The ground wire had gone bad. I attached a wire to the solenoid/capacitor thingy and attached it to the engine block and it worked until I totaled the truck a few years later.

Silverado's and Sierra's have had wiring problems since 2008 or so in my experience, they'll burn through bulbs like crazy... My dad and I each have Silverado's and both of us have had to replace the wiring and connectors. Each were not too pricey or difficult to fix. It could also be a bad bulb... Good Luck!

This all started with a burnt bulb which might be the fastest a new bulb has ever burnt in my driving life. Strangely one bulb came back on this am. Assuming it to be wiring at this point. No time or desire to chase that down so I’ll bring it in.
