20lbs tannerite for a beaver dam?

I’ve only ever shot individual 1lb targets, I have 20 lbs worth. 5 2lb targets and 10 one pounders.
I have a small beaver dam about the width of a truck long, 3 feet tall, and 1 1/2 feet wide at the top. Will this effectively blow it if I put it at the base of the dam halfway buried? Also do I just stack each individual container or pour the mixed contents into one large container?

Man, you have any idea how much 20 lbs of tannerite is? I have blown up 4-5 lb mixes multiple times. I cant imagine 20lbs. I blew a bolder the size of a vw off the wall of a rock face in the Texas Hill Country with 4 lbs. I would mix whatever you do together in a big pickle jar/plastic jug type container, but no way you get 20 lbs in anything like that. I would try 10 pounds mixed together first and see how that goes. I'm telling you, 20 would be massive.

Make sure to record it......

I have no idea but bury it otherwise it won't do much and can I come watch please?

Unless its the Hoover Dam of beaver construction, 20 would be massive overkill.

I shot an 8lb one and it was massive. The shockwave felt like a punch in the chest from 100 yards away. No way I would do anything over 10lbs. From the size dam you are describing 6-7lbs should be overkill.

Yeah, you will have to fill whatever container you use to the top and bury as much as you can with just leaving that top exposed. You have to physically put a bullet of a certain speed through the foam pellets for it to explode, so that is why I say fill it to the top. Individual cartridges wont do a thing but blow up the actual one you shoot.

I blew one up last year with 10 lbs and there wasn’t much left. I shot it with my bolt 6.5 CM from about 150 yds away. 20lbs would probably bring down the west side of Tiger Stadium.

Leave the dam? Some good fishing behind it.

Shockwave from 4lb is damn impressive. Can feel it in your chest.

This would definitely be a Clark Griswold moment.

It’s surprising the ATF hasn’t banned this stuff yet tbh

It doesn’t actually make a fire of any kind, so that’s why you can buy it off the shelf in an academy or the like. It’s a chemical vapor reaction.

Usually a one gallon jug is all we need for beaver dams. That's about 8# I would guess. I mean, it's quite a show at that rate.
But I make my own. So I'm not sure if our chemistry is the same.
