the M&P is where Smith took all the lessons from their mistake (Sigma) and made a really great "Glock" fighter.

The factory trigger in the M&P is still terrible so they didn't learn too much.

That reset is the reason I don't own an M&P anymore.

Slows down follow-up shots.

Because it was when it came out originally, but they refined the design after being sued.

I know this.

It's not based on a quality design? Please, your m&p with a reticle isn't the end all be all design.

When did I ever say my Core was superior to everything else? I said if it was based the M&P (rather than vice versa like it is now; the Sigma is basically an M&P beta test) it would be better. Why is that? Because the M&P works. I never claimed it didn't have competition though. That would be foolish.

You're the lucky owner of a good one.

quote:

Your m&p had dozens of malfunctions at my house. You blamed your reloads. When I shot your reloads out of my 19, zero failures.

Not even sure who you are. You'll have to specify when that was.

but blindly disparaging a brand you don't like when it is an infinitely more functional design (if not refined) is foolish.

If I bashed the whole brand I wouldn't own 2 M&Ps. My dad and brother also own full sized M&Ps. I obviously don't hate S&W. I just think the Sigma sucks.

Also, I'm back in the US if you wanna text me to shoot sometime, but I gotta warn ya, I'm faster than I was

You'll have to text me first so I can identify you.

That's hardly a statistically valid sample.

One "clue" regarding the quality and reliability of the Sigma/SD_VE line of pistols is that you'll not find a single major LE agency that issues them. On the other hand, Glocks and M&P's dominate the LE market.

And I seem to recall seeing reports that Marine Special Forces have adopted the Glock 19 as their sidearm.

And there are semi-validated rumblings that the Navy SEALS will be adopting the G19 (Author of linked thread is a SEAL and an M4Carbine.net SME).
