I find the deer where I'm at hit the rice bran harder than the corn, especially the bucks. But I mostly only have time to hunt on the weekends and even piling up a couple bags when I leave has low results. Has anyone found a rice bran feeder that works in the south Louisiana environment?

I bought the wildgame innovations pile driver feeder a few years back. I found it worked best for rice bran but with it being a WGI product, it only lasted a year

Does that low fence keep the hogs out I assume? How tall is it? Looks 2ft or less.

Tractor supply 50” x 16’ panels. Cut them in half with bolt cutters. Use a T post on every corner, ones on center if you choose (I don’t), only bury the T post till the blade on them is sunk. I use bailing wire to tie panels into the T posts. Two panels cut in half make a 16’ square. That’s my method and I haven’t had a hog get in yet. Hope this helps…

but my thing is, hunting around the singer area in SWLA, the deer seem to be already skeptical of a corn feeder. If I put up a fence around something, they are NEVER going near it.

I thought the same thing, I was wrong as could be. Your situation may be different though.

Whay Cypressknee said. I put out feed rings and nothing but deer and some coons but zero pigs. They come by and leave. Saves on feed being spent on pigs

If they want the feed, they’ll jump it. But it may only be at night

Bears would knock that barrel over first day if we put that out

The hog panels work great. I had deer in mine of the first day I installed them.

These feeders arent cheap but they are bullet proof for feeding bran or anything else.

We only catch 1-2 pass through in the spring when we aren’t really feeding. Not gonna disagree with you on that. They toasted two of our hog feeders this spring in their polite pass through.

Yeah fck those bears. They ripped the motor off my hanging feeder this year. And of course it was the only week it was flooded. Ruined motor...

May I ask where you are or I can find rice bran to purchase? Thank you.

Also, I like the pellet idea
