Anyone shot Turan ammo? EDIT- or any other 'unknown' or offbrand

I get email notifications, and I'm seeing a lot of push recently.
I think the market is starting to hit a glut. Most of us have want we need, and stuff is more available when we want. And a lot of these shops are going to have to push stuff out, because I think they pay taxes on what's in the warehouse.
Over the years, I've shot a lot of, say, 9mm, in different brands. I know what I'm getting with them, including with Tula. I do have a case of Norma 9mm (which isn't a caliber they used to make). I've seen some reviews that it shoots fine, but is a PITA to reload.
I'm curious about Turan, because I'm starting to see that get marked down. It's not a brand anyone knows, so if your choice is that or Magtech or Blazer, people will pick what they've had. But if it drops significantly below them, and runs ok, it might be worth picking some up on the cheap.
I've got some Hotshot steel-cased 45acp, was a similar deal a few years back. It wasn't selling, I got it way below the other brands. It's all shot fine out of my 1911's, and hasn't hurt anything.

I don’t like to experiment with off-brand ammo in my guns.

I have never had an issue with guns or ammo made in Turkey. They are the baws of the middle east.

I've got and shot Yavex, which is Turkish. Yavex is loaded HOT, probably +P. Very consistent and clean. There are guns I won't shoot it through, older ones; but I have a few that love it.
And Turkey doesn't have random manufacturers, it's probably the same factory with a new name. I seem to remember Yavex disappearing as a brand shortly after the excitement in Turkey a few years ago, when there was a potential coup that failed. This is likely the same stuff.

Turan Ammo Review
Yes, it's made in Turkey.
Abridged version:
"Overall, Turan ammo is great if you want low-cost ammunition that may or may not fire. We wouldn’t recommend it for serious shooting activities like hunting or personal defense. We also wouldn’t invest in Turan as our go-to bulk ammo before trying it in all of our rifles and 9mm handguns. Solely because it doesn’t have a great reputation.
Fortunately, low-cost FMJs are pretty easy to find here in the U.S. and you aren’t without numerous options. If someone gives you a case of Turan ammo, we wouldn’t turn it down. But there are far more reasonable options available."

"Low cost ammo that may or may not fire"... based on what?
Turkey is a NATO member, and has active military actions going on. Both of these statements suggest that the official government ammo is going to be expected to work. This statment from that link
quote:suggests that this is, indeed, government-issue ammo.
The Turan manufacturing plant is located in Uzumlu, Turkey. Not only does the company produce millions of rounds of ammunition, but it also has the support of the Turkish government to maintain and expand its operations.
They're not producing ammo primarily for commercial usage, like Blazer for example. This should be stuff the Turks expect to shoot ISIS and Kurds with. If it doesn't work, their troops would be in trouble.
As I posted, I've used Yavex in the past. It 100% functions, it just might beat the shite out of your gun if it's not sprung for hot stuff.

If ammo is coming from a country with a modern, established military, then it's usually good to go. I've shot a lot of surplus;
South Korean 7.62 NATO is PMC. Yugoslav/Serb stuff is PPU. Czech is S&B. MEN is German. Mesko is Polish. Igman is Bosnian (and some surplus Yugo). Hell, Magtech is from Brazil.
These countries don't have a lot of fly-by-night companies making ammo, they're supplying the government, and then converting the rest to currency.
The Turkish stuff I shot was Yavex. Clean, loaded stout and consistent, green lacquer sealing the primer and cases. If that's now Turan, it should be fine.

So someone downvotes this
Jesus Christ dudes, don't be so sensitive. I'm not asking if it's the best stuff around, I'm trying to decide if it's worth grabbing if the price drops really low- which might happen.
Sgammo, for instance, is in Oklahoma. That state taxes businesses for stuff sitting in the warehouses annually. So do a few others. If they have cases of Turan (or something else) that isn't moving, it's worth it to them to drop the prices and clear it out, rather than keep eating the taxes on it.

Bump- just got an email from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore about Maxx Tech 9mm 115gr FMJ, $10.99 a box if you get 10+ boxes.
LINK
It's made in Bosnia, by Pobjeda Tech. Some of the older reviews are mixed, and back then I stayed away. But I've also seen a number of good reviews, too.
Fwiw, this stuff used to be el-cheapo ammo; before the panic it was as low as $150 for a case. But it's brass-cased, boxer primed. I stayed away because I could get Fiocchi, S&B or PPU for $10-15 a case more.
This, like Turan listed in my posts above, is stuff I'm curious about, any first-hand knowledge. Because it's starting to drop now, and soon (I suspect) it's going under $200 a case again.
I think I may set my buy-it price at $180 a case.

I would not be afraid to buy cheap Turkish ammo. I buy Canik guns.
