We have a few hundred of these in our food plot. Are they the same as the turnips you'd plant in a garden? If so we're gonna have a lot of turnip stew in the net future

ETA: it came in a food plot mix

They may not be as sweet as food grade turnips, but I'm sure there's nothing wrong with them.

Just slice one and take a bite and see if it's bitter.

I decided to take a few from my footplot in the stand with me to munch on one hunt. They tasted like shite raw.

This. I've eaten food plot turnips before (out of some seed mix bag) and they were not that bad.

Buddy of mine had a ton of these in his food plot. He dug some up and brought some by my house. Put them in with roast instead of potatoes and they were great.

Eat away. I love to pull them from the plot and peel them while in the stand . Have been eating them like this for years. If you want to cook them take the greens and cook down with some pork. Damn thats good.

Those are the same turnips you buy at the store. They aren't any different. I would pick them smaller though those may be bitter, they are a little big. Smother them in a pot with some boneless pork and ear over rice.
