Fellas,
Would y’all please provide opinions on what y’all are using and if you like it/issues for front/rear baskets on your 4wheelers? Thank you

I like the drop basket on the back. Deer fit right in the drop.

Regular racks on front and back

The larger drop rack can interfere with a trailer jack or spreader implement if you tow with the ATV. Receiver extension or relocating jack to remedy it.

Milk crate zip tied down (easy to remove).
Holds a 5 gallon bucket it you need to haul a bunch of tools.
Most 5 gallon gas containers fit in it too.
Doesn’t take up all of the rack space…mine stays on the rear rack.

If you’re lucky you can find a double milk crate on the side of the road like I did. It works great.

This sounds like a good idea; how about hauling bags of corn / large tools? That’s the appeal of drop basket.

I have a front basket and flat back rack. Wouldn't mind the drop down back rack but hasn't been necessary for me. Your situation may be different tho. Either way, strong made is top notch and made in Louisiana.

I got this set.
Did not want the drop basket, the flat one catches enough mud from the rear tires.

No idea of the brand. Mine came off wrecked bike.

Go with the Strongmade stuff, it's made in Louisiana and usually the gold standard on ATVs. Had front and rear racks from them, plus stick stoppers on my '07 Foreman.

As do I. I prefer the flat over the drop just because you typically overload it without intentions. Then, you can crack your factory rack and more commonly than not, the factory rack bolts back out. Can’t tell you how many I’ve replaced for people. Just my opinion, of course.
Strong made have the best as mentioned.

I had a Strongmade drop down on the back and it was great but had to take it off everytime I hooked up a trailer or discs. Someone stole it because it was off my bike laying on the ground at the camp. That's when I just put the milk crate on the back.

Ditto on Strong-built. A good value and fit well. Mine still doing ok after 14 yrs, though did repaint them two years ago and had to JB weld a couple holes in the tubing. Don’t carry salt blocks on them.

I use my 4 wheeler every single day for feeding and small jobs around the property and use crates.
I've always thought about a drop down attachment but I've been concerned about hitting it when coming out of ditches and what not. Has that ever been an issue with you all?

They make a mini drop if you’re concerned about that. Would have to be a very narrow ditch to cause issues imo.

Thanks.
I have a creek crossing that I don't use often unless I have to (usually go up around the tinhorn) that's wet all year from 2 springs. It can be a sharp entry and exit.
I might measure it one day when I'm thinking about it.

I have the same design back rack. I put a piece of 2x4 along the front of it so shite doesnt slide and hit me or fall off. Front is gun holder x 2 with no basket.
