Any of you baws following the Bad Company Fishing World Tour? The main guy is a little douchey but they have some incredible boats and are hammering the big marlin. Worth checking out on YouTube if you like to watch billftshing content.

The amount of money he is spending on this is unbelievable.

He was originally planning on selling the 150 and just using the 175, then said F it and doubled down. Now he is sending the 144 out for action as well I think. Not to mention all the actual fishing boats he has accumulated for this. and the G650.

Although one of the coolest ones will be his blackfin he is restoring that was one of his first boats.

I follow their IG account(s). It really is insane how much money he spends. Custom building fishing boats to ride on the support yachts when he already has perfectly fine fishing boats that fit on them. Now he has to have land cranes to load and unload the fishing boats because they are too heavy for the onboard crane. Custom one off feet rest/supports for the fighting chairs. I mean, the guy is having a 50 foot sportfisher custom built out of all carbon fiber. Can't even imagine what that is costing.

The youtube algorithm sent me one of their World Tour videos and I ended up watching all of them. Crazy amount of time and money put into their operation. Super cool

Do they have a business plan in place? Are they trying to make money? I haven't paid attention in awhile.

It honestly all looks like something that could go belly up bankrupt any day.

I get the appeal, but I don't see why if you had that money you'd have so many other people and boats in play. Privacy is worth a lot at some point.

He came out here to Ascension Island last year. It's "world-class" fishing out here.

You can catch 300+ pound yellowfin tuna, marlin, and sailfish less than a mile offshore. Several guys have caught 140+ pound tuna from shore in the past several years.

We talked about him a few days ago and was told he planned to come back.

I’ll go out to the pier head tomorrow and see if the boat is anchored. If so, I’ll post a pic.

Curious what brought you to Ascension?

This website never ceases to amaze me, a random thread about fishing in one of the most remote islands on earth, and then a poster shows up from there.

He's in the medical field. I'm guessing he just finally wanted to get out of Tangipahoa parish lol. I don't blame him.

At 57, you can have the hookers and blow. If I win the lottery, that's the type shite I'm blowing it on.

What’s up jgt? Yep, haven’t worked in LA since 2018. I was back there for 20 weeks this past winter and got my first deer in 4 years.

Three stints on Midway Island (20 months) and multiple here on Ascension (26 months).

To the other poster, I’m a nurse practitioner and I work in the medical clinic on the American base. There’s a shared runway here with the UK.

Lots of interesting history here…both Charles Darwin and NASA have been here.

One day I’m going to post pics from both islands on here and on the OT board.
