Does anybody know the difference and which one would you buy?

I like the M4 H20. It is water resistant from what I have read. I know the M1014 has a collapsible stock which I’m assuming I could put on a conventional stock if I wanted too. But what makes the M1014 different from the M4. Bass pro has both guns available right now.

I'd just get a regular M4 unless it was going to be kept on a boat. Normal benellis have chromed internals and shite like that, they dont rust easily. I wouldn't spring for the h2o unless it was a boat gun

Why doesn’t Benelli sell the M4 with collapsible stock to non-LEO?

they're the same save for the adjustable stock (Mil/LEO variant only) and the little flag thats stamped on the receiver of the M1014.

If you can find the limited-run civilian variant of the M1014, just know that the skeletonized stock is fixed-position. you're paying extra for the stock to look different and to have a flag

just get an M4. Best tac shotty of all time.

the adjustable stock renders it incapable of having a "sporting" designation, which is very important for importation.

Exactly it falls under 922(r). Ironically if the shotgun was a pump action, you could have a collapsible stock.

For those not familiar with 922(r), a list of 20 parts of which 10 or more have to be US made to be considered domestic. In the case of the Benelli M4, you have 13 imported parts so one would need 3 US made parts in order to install the collapsible stock or 7 round tube.
