Best accurate low recoil, low tracking deer rifle and caliber for wife

Ok so I need ideas for a deer rifle brand (bolt action) and caliber that is accurate out of the box, low recoil and will drop a deer within 30 yrds of shot point for my wife who wants to start hunting.
Emphasis on low recoil and drop dead impact. I thought the 7mm-08 fit the bill but worried about availability and price of bullets now.
Price of gun isn’t an issue if she will use it.
Thank you

Stick with the 7-08, ammo is coming back around, Norma has it in stock right now
I am a fan of the Tikka, but just about any bolt gun out the box will shoot better than most people shooting it, get some nice glass and call it a day

30-30 (if you can find one in bolt action) or .243? Seems like those are popular for kids or little people.

.308. She can handle the recoil.

.243 with Remington corlokt rounds will kill a deer deader than shite.

Weatherby Vanguard Camilla in 7-08. The stock is designed for a woman and feels very odd to a man. I bought my wife a Model 7 in 7-08 and she hated it from the start, bought the Camilla and it's built for her.

Savage Axis or Ruger American 7mm08
Get a good 250-350 dollar scope. You can spend more but you don’t have to.
.243 is popular but the simple fact is that the 708 is a larger bullet with more forgiving shot placement.

.308 Win, with a can. Best deer rifle ever invented.

Tikka or bergara is what I would get.
I bought my daughter a begarra b14 ridge in 6.5 last year she’s 13 and loves it and said it fits her perfect.

I’m on month 9 of waiting for the ATF to let me have the suppressor I bought last year so he better not be in a hurry

What about an AR with a 300 Blackout upper?
Right about 30-30 power but with gas operation.

30-06 been getting it done for well over a hundred years and if your wanting something fancy and new go 450 bushmaster. Recoil is subjective and she will never notice it when pulling the trigger on a deer anyway. Only thing she will remember is her ears ringing after the shot and dragging that heavy sob to the truck.

So many guns fit that bill most are stated above BUT…. if i’ve said it once i’ve said it 1000 times my favorite is my .243. It’s one of two deer rifles i’d never sell, the other is my Bar Safari .308. That said, in a food plot 200 yards and in, the .308 doesn’t kill them any more dead than the .243 with 100gr Hornady Interlocks.

And if you want to kill them super duper dead….. get you a 30-06 or 300 Win Mag with a muzzle brake. You didn’t say it had to be quiet lol.

I held one before, never shot it. It definitely feels like a purpose built woman's rifle. Vanguards shoot good.
I guess budget is really what matters here. Id get a mark 5 caminilla for my wife if she decided she needed her own deer rifle. Whatever the cheapest youth rifle on the rack at academy was would work fine.
Mine likes hunting, doesn't like shooting. If she ever does shoot one it'll be with my cut stock 6.5x55

Do not get a .243. With a new shooter, I will bet my salary this year you will lose at least one deer with a .243.
