Best bow for a 13yo bowhunter

I have never been a bow hunter. My 13 year old son is interested in bow hunting. He’s going to be buying his first hunting bow, but will still be growing over the next several years. What brand and model should we be looking for, and what bow shop near Baton Rouge should he buy it from that will deliver best setup and service? Thanks.

Whatever fits the child the best

Any decent brand but it’s critical to have it tuned and fitted correctly. They tend to lose interest if they can’t hit anything with it.

I second this.
I got one for my son when he was 8-10 and we were able to adjust it and he could use it through his senior year in high school. His senior gift was a new bow.

Bought my 8 yr old daughter a Bear Legit RTH package. Got it on sale for under $400 brand new last year and it has tons of adjustment for draw length and draw weight.

My kids have Mission HAMMRs. Adjustability is impressive. Can go from short/light enough for my undersized 7 year old to shoot all the way up to fit me.
