i've been told it was Duck Commander. i bought the classic commander and it's pretty good.

i bought a faulk's wood duck call, and thought it was good until i bought a haydel's wood duck call

the haydel's BLOWS THE FAULK'S OUT OF THE WATER!!!

IMO for the price, you can't beat a haydel's sound/quality

thoughts?

I have a Faulk call, Primos teal call, Haydel gadwall. By the time the ducks get to south LA, they have heard everything.

+1

The original wench has a nice clean rasp to it. I have the acrylic wench and it sounds beautiful. It will get loud in a rice field and I can tone it down in the woods. Never ever lock up on you. But I've also owned some good DC calls as well as the haydels.
It's really more about which call fits your blowing method, whether it be from your throat, stomach, or mouth. There is no wrong way to blow a Susie mallard call. Just have good rhythm.

I have one Faulk, engraved by Dud Faulk himself back in 1990. I keep it on the shelf and would never blow a Faulk.

I like Duck Commander but Yentzen too.

Faulk's WA-11 (that I've been using for a very long time), Duck Commander wood duck call, and a Faulk's PW-70 pintail whistle.

My Haydels is my meat call. I have the "duck picker" made by Duck Commander that sounds damn good, but I don't blow it nearly as much as I grab for my haydel.

Chien Callie for specks. I've gotten to where I can blow that thing ridiculusly well since I've had it like 18 or 19 years. That thing is the truth on lost geese. I've killed quite a few on lakes and random ponds/fields where you don't see them much.

Old style olts D-2 and a call made by Roger Morton up in Arky. Commander 3 n 1 for teal, widgeons and pins. Faulks goose call. Have a 2 haydel speck calls that pretty much stay in the ammo box.
