Fishing around Grand Isle and best place to stock up on supplies?

I don’t have much experience in Grand Isle, especially without a charter or a boat and will have some young and old family who want to stay out of the boat.

Fish the lights at night off the Caminada fishing bridge.

The surf early morning for specks. Also, the rocks at Caminada Pass, but just be VERY careful for slippage.

Good luck. Grand Isle is God's Country.

early morning surf fishing in grand isle is good fishing. when the fish stop biting set crab lines in the surf. I grew up doing this a few times every summer......good times. If the weather allowed, we always caught

Fish the surf at Elmer’s island. Use soft plastics like down south, lil Jon, sand eel, matrix shad

When my kids were younger, we just fished along that road leading out to the beach and always had great luck.

So do you need a jacked up White F250 to fish Elmers Island and do you actually need to drive out into the surf to catch fish? I guess getting stuck just enhances the experience as well.

They actually have a shuttle now. You can’t drive on the beach anymore. If you have facecrack check out the grand isle fishing group
