Picking up an MPX-K and I am going to want to put a can on it. It's the 4.5" version now, but might change to 8" later.

I'm looking for a 9mm can to use on the MPX and probably some pistols down the road.

Seems like there are some accuracy issues once adding a can on tri lug. I would probably want something to direct thread on. Does any one here have a suppressed MPX or have any suggestions? I had my eye on the da wolfman. Ideally, I want something that will fit under a handguard.

If you’re going to run a can on it keep it at 4.5. you can run 147 gr standard pressure out of the 4.5 and they will be subsonic. If you go to 8 the will be supers.

I run an Octane 9 on my 9mm sub guns with Tri lugs and no issues.

Do you have an MPX? Seems like it's an issue specific to this gun.

Otter Creek Lithium 9
Resilient RS9
New CGS Mod9X (coming out in Jan)
Rugged Obsidian 9

Apparently the new CGS was extremely impressive at a silencer demo event in November. The resilient is very good on short barrel guns (it's actually quieter on shorter than longer barrels because it works better with higher pressures). Look at Pew Science.

I had a Gen 1 MPX. I really didn't like it. Gas to the face while suppressed. The Gen 1 CH was a POS and proprietary so there wasn't really a fix for it. I have a Scorpion SBR. Much better gun for half the money IMO. I had a 3 lug on the MPX and no issues that I can remember. I have one on my scorpion and haven't had any issues with over 1k rds through it.

I think I am going to switch gears and go with the SIG MODX-9. I won't have to worry about adapters that come loose or hopefully accuracy issues. It's small enough to go on a pistol with no problems and it breaks down, which I like.

Any idea where to get one? Seems my local places don't have any in stock.

I use Dead Air Wolfman on a CMMG Banshee and several 9MM pistols....love and would recommend.

Considered Silencerco Omega 9K and the CGS Mod9k as well but ultimately chose Wolfman b/c 90% of my rounds are thru pcc so size was a secondary concern. Plus it's wicked quite on 300blk in long configuration w/ wipes

Check out PewScience if you wanna geek out on data to help you decide
