Best TV for covered patio?

Live on the gulf coast, so high humidity / salt air.

Best to use a regular cheap TV from walmart or buy an "outdoor" tv?

Will be under a covered patio.

Go regular LED and replace when it dies, outdoor TVs are 10X more expensive. Make sure your choice has high brightness and contrast for daytime viewing.

Cheap as you can find one, not going to appreciate hi definition outside anyway, when it craps out get a new one, I did this 12 years ago and the cheap o is still working fine

Buy a cheap one that you like. But also buy a cover. I only cover mine when really bad weather comes through.

The biggest, cheapest smart tv you can find that will fit in your space. I’ve had a small Roku tv on our back porch for more than 10yrs.

Roku TV from Walmart. Dirt cheap and work great.

Same and mine has lasted for years with no problems. I did buy a cheap (~$20) cover on Amazon, but it's not always used.

Get a cheaper model - TCL, Hisene, etc and replace as needed. I've had a TCL on my back porch for 3 years now and its still going strong.

Cheapest TV in whatever size you want. No sense in paying for an outdoor TV. I live on the water and have had no issues with mine. I just keep a cover on it when im not using it.

Agree with above. Just go cheap. I have 2 outside that I planned on replacing every couple of years. 7 years and 3 years later they are going strong.

Figured this was the case, thanks.

Great timing too, Walmart Black Friday deals soon.

I bought a $200 40” 4k Best Buy special 4 years ago and a $15 vinyl cover off Amazon. Keep it covered when not in use. Still going strong.

Sometimes in high humidity areas it is best to leave the tv on. The heat it generates keeps the moisture out. That's why Tiger stadium displays are always on.

I have a shop with connected open sitting under the shop roof. I bought a cheap large 72" or larger TV and attached to rolling TV cart. I able to roll in and out of shop to/from sitting as needed. It is great for sporting events. 5 years later still going.

You can buy outdoor designed tv's, but the last time I checked they were expensive. I bought a cheap TV and keep it covered. If you don't keep it covered, the humidity, morning dew, dust and everything else will frick it up. Trust me on this. Have someone sew you a custom cover.

I am a pool & patio builder in Houston. We use Vizio & Samsung Tv's and have zero issues as long as they are covered. You can leave the tv on all the time (goes into sleep mode) and the heat from the boards help keep out any moisture and condensation.
