Nothing like a friendly bee whackin competition with a tennis racket.

I definitely prefer a badminton racket. Much faster racket speed.

Those little fabric softeners that your wife puts in the dryer...strategically place/pin them in the vicinity of where you see the bees. They (and any other insects) will leave and give you no more problems. Side benefit, no insects, no more lizard shite stains on the exterior walls to have to remove.

Find the holes and spray them full of poisonous shite.

Reminds me of last summer when I found a yellowjacket nest in the outside wall of my house. I sprayed the hell out of the hole and covered it with a piece of duct tape. The survivors found a way inside the house Good times

I always used Bengal Roach Spray. Once they're all dead, paint over all the holes this fall. They won't be as bountiful next year. If the holes are left, they'll be back next year just as bad.

I have one I got from Amazon for about $15. It does some serious work on some mosquitoes. I imagine it would wreck shop on some bees as well.

Permethrin powder mixed in petroleum jelly...slather around the hole...the
Permethrin lasts longer preserved in the jelly...

there will be a pile of the bees dead outside the hole...after you witness those piles...plug holes and paint..

Do you want the real old man answer? Spray all wood areas with diesel. It doesn't change the flash point of the wood.

The holes are underneath the bottom railing of boxed 2x6's.
Everything is painted except this bottom part and there's about 6" of clearance.

I was on my stomach in the carport just to even see the holes.

I think I'm going to look at the purethrin and petroleum jelly then one day I'll try to caulk the holes.

Is there anything diesel can't do?

Note you still have to seal up the holes (silicon, wood filler etc) or there seems to be a never ending supply to take over the holes, but once the holes are gone and my pocket is a little lighter after paying jr the problem seems solved – until next spring

Killed about 30 so far this year with a badminton racket. Our Carin terrier loves em.

The real problem with wood bees is woodpeckers. The holes the wood bees make are not that large but the woodperckers will wreck chit trying to get to them. I promise you that spraying all wood in diesel will get rid of the bees.

Suspend sprayed on the wood surfaces works. The concentration is in the instructions. It does have to be reapplied periodically but it kills the carpenter bees even when you are not there with a tennis racket and a 12 pack of beer (who buys 6 packs anymore?).
