Have an old trailer sitting. Probably needs bearings, brakes, decking, paint, tires, lights, and wiring.

Anyone ever done a restore on one? Trying to figure out how much I woukd be looking at?

here you go, this place has very fair pricing so start making a list and see where you are at.

for the wiring just buy a 50ft extension cord and use that, it will last you forever. (white is running lights, black is blinkers, and green is ground)

I just redid all the wear parts on my boat trailer and some other maintenance

Really depends on the extent you are going on the parts and worries on corrosion.

Do you know anything about the axles on the trailer?

I re-did a 16' heavy duty tandem axle.

welded on new hitch and chains
new trailer jack
4 new tires and rims
1 new axle with trailer brakes
wiring
LED lights
replaced wood
new bearings on existing axle
paint

total about $1200 not counting my time.

about $15 for each wheel, if you dont need new hubs. then labor

brakes

what do mean by this? rotors calipers pads, hubs, etc...

decking

Wood? size?

paint
depends on what you have going on currently. are you sure some spray paint wont do?
quote:

tires
depends on size but anywhere from 30-90 per tire

quote:

lights
depends on the quality $20-100

Labor is really your biggest expense here. do you want to do any yourself

I recently changed the decking and did a rattle can paint job on a 75" x14' deck utility and had about $300 in it not including the one hub I changed for $50

guessing open. if you can turn a wrench a lot of this is easy to do, especially if you get new axles as well.

You just need some key measurements and specs

Might not be a whole lot more to buy a new one honestly. Sell the old one for 500-750

If it's a standard run of the mill 16ft style trailer then if suggest selling it to someone for $500 and buying a new one. A complete overhaul like you've listed can get close to 75% of the price of a new one
