Crabbing at Cypremort Point/Vermilion Bay

I have a few days off of work and I'm looking to catch some blue crabs. Cypremort point is close to where I live. Anyone ever go crabbing over there? I saw some decent looking bridges on google maps..just gonna try catching them with twine and nets.
Thanks..I've found some info online but its pretty outdated.

uh if you want to cross the bay by the old Wild life camp in the back you can catch a few. sometimes hit the channel cats hard too.

Know if they have a bait shop open over there?

Nope, closed after a hurricane and not sure if BayView is still open.

Never crabbed from land, but you could try along the Quintana Canal or around Cypremort Point State Park. I know some coullions that crab along the road down toward the Gibbstown Bridge, but no clue where/how
