Easy way to sand grooves on door panel (pics inside)

I'm lazy so I'm trying to figure out the best way to sand the grooves on this door. The wood is very old and whatever finish left is sort of chipping and the wood is coming apart with it pretty easily.
I tried using a block of wood with sand paper over it but its not really doing much.
Any suggestions?

Not gonna be easy but you can use sand paper around a dowel for the panels and a sand paper sponge on the other.

What about a chemical wood refinisher, like what would be used on a deck or fence?

Sanding sponge might do the trick. Gonna have to get some.
And I don't want to really refinish the wood. Just plan on sanding everything down to raw wood and making a glasstop kitchen table. I may put some sort of oil on it but I'm undecided.

honestly for something that small a harbor freight home media blaster kit with very fine media would do wonders.
You can also very easily make a mold of the curve/molding and then use sanding cloth over that to sand it.
use a piece of saran wrap to cover the wood and use painters tape to create a small reservoir and then use plaster of paris, liquid latex, etc. for your mold.

Alright I actually had a sanding sponge I didn't know about and went to work on it for a few minutes. It got everything off but directly in the grooves so it is almost like three dark lines all the way around. I kinda like the way it looks so I may leave it that way.
