This just breaks my heart, hunters staying at Cypress Point Resort on Reelfolt Lake (NW Tennessee).

A father and his 12-year-old son were found dead at the resort, according to a spokesperson for Lee’s office. They were sucked into the storm, according to officials.
The two who died were from Tallahassee, Florida, WVLT sister station, WCTV reported.
According to a family member, a group of at least six or seven headed to Western Tennessee for a duck hunting trip. However, the woman said her father, Jamie Antonio Hall, is still missing following the storm.

“Rep. Rusty Grills said a family survived the storm at the resort by huddling in a bathroom, wrapping among themselves around the toilet as the roof and surrounding walls were ripped off,” a spokesperson with Lee’s office said. “The family survived.”

That's gut wrenching.

Who would think "let's go hunting in Tennessee in December" and worry about tornadoes?

Dear lord that is heartbreaking
That 12 year old - his mom just lost her husband and a son. I can’t even think of the pain that family is going through.

I know some guys that went to Reelfoot to film a duck hunting show. They were staying at that resort and their room was literally next door to the room of the father and son. Fortunately, they went and found a community storm shelter ahead of the tornadoes and are fine.

I’d say can’t even fathom, but they went out together. From above I guess I’d have to be alright by that.

A co-worker of mine and his wife where in a rented cabin at that same resort. Their cabin was completely leveled, but they lived, by the grace of God! They had to be rescued from the rubble and were sent to the ER. No broken bones or major injuries at all. They are just sore. Both are in their 60's.
Sadly, they lost all of their possessions. They live in a trailer at Reelfoot lake. The cabin was a last minute idea when they saw the storms coming and felt safer in at the resort. Their trailer and both vehicles are completely destroyed.
My company is awesome and already cut them a check to go get a trailer while they wait on the insurance and all of us here in the office collected money and donated to them so they can immediately try to get their life back in order.
