Got a few pics of this one and caught a glimpse of him a few weeks ago but he made a fatal mistake this evening and stepped out at 25 yds.

The Halon 32 and the Magnus Black Hornet did its job. Didn’t go 50!!

That pic made his body look bigger than what he really was. He was only about 155. Deer don’t get real big up here so that’s actually a pretty typical size for a mature buck here. A good 3-4 yr old will be between 150 - 175 most of the time. Been hunting here for nearly 30 years and we broke 200 one time.

He made it about 50 yds. Was pretty sure I heard him crash but I gave him an hour. When I went look for him I didn’t find the first drop of blood and got really worried. I knew the direction he went so just started walking and found him in less than 10 min.

The exit hole was dead middle of his shoulder blade on the opposite side and had no blood coming out of it. You can see the blood on the entry side! No clue how a double lung pass thru shot didn’t produce a massive blood trail. It’s almost like that exit hole plugged with that shoulder blade plate and created like a vacuum on the entry side to keep it from spraying?
