Anyone know about this club in Avoyelles Parish?
Trying to get some info on. Some of my family may buy in from a guy, but we don't know much about it. I know one of you can help.
TIA

No...too poor.
But have heard from folks that hunt there, as well as saw some pics from there that were killed this year, truly giant deer. One was around 190 inches, killed by a 12 year old. My inlaws have personal friends that hunt there.

We were trying to figure out how it all works though. like If my brother is a member, is he allowed to bring me? or can i pay like a family sur charge or something....?
And who hunts where kinda thing and how that works

don't you have to buy a "share" to hunt there?
Posted on 1/27/11 at 11:28 am to hendrixfan
yes. My brother would be buying the "share". So how would his family be allowed to hunt? (me)

prolly same one I saw on Zillow. Wonder what the yearly dues are? Is this place close to the marsh?
Posted on 1/27/11 at 11:43 am to hendrixfan

I hunt there. In-laws have a couple of shares. Each share holder is allow one guest but that guest can not hunt the first 9 days from when a season opens. Also you can only kill two bucks per share. One has to have 4pts on one side and the second one has to have 4pts on one side and have a 14 inch inside spread.

Anytime the member is there he can have a guest. Just remember the first 9 days the guest can not hunt but can be at the camp. As for as duck hunting there are around 20 blinds in the lake that are brushed and decoys are set out already. The only catch is you have to pay around $200 a year to duck hunt and you rotate blinds every week. Also you have to pay for deer stand tags. Each member is allowed two deer stands per share. I am not sure what the price of the tags were this year. And on top of all that you still have dues to pay every year around $750 a share.

Do your in laws use all the shares? I am looking for someone that allows "a user" to "lease" their share for the year. If they have one freed up i am interested. I have a couple names that other members have given me, people that have multiple shares, but haven't gotten around to call any of them yet.

I duck hunt and fish there fairly often. I have never deer hunted, but like another poster said you roatate blinds weekly, some are very good and some are absolutely terrible. I know one thing for certain though, it is a constant soap opera out there with the deer hunting crowd. Overall though it is a great place, to hunt, fish, and also most of those guys out there don't mind having a good party as well.
