Searched the board and didn't see too much.

I've done some googling and also haven't found much.

I have already reached out Hunt the Island in Paradis, and have not heard back.

Any other places to check out?

Maybe try Giles island? It was for sale a couple years ago. I don’t know if they still do guided hunts or if there’s a waiting list.

Giles Island was purchased by a Florida billionaire two years ago and is now closed to the public.

Yeah I can't find anything about booking a hunt when I google a website for them.

Hunt the island emailed me back and said they no longer offer guided hunts. But I could join their club for $50k

I knew it sold but didn’t know the details. For that kind of money, a man should be able to find a great place to hunt that doesn’t stay under water half the hunting season

Tara Wildlife is still doing hunts. Archery only I believe technically in Mississippi.

You have to know Drew Keith personally, or know someone with a ton of stroke to even get on the list.

There’s a reason the vast majority of folks who kill deer there are either professional athletes or singers

I’ve noticed that those are usually music personalities or brand partners. Don’t think they sell very many direct deer hunts.

They have definitely got some hammers down there though.

Just step right over to east Texas. Guides are everywhere and decent prices

I would do that because that is super easy. But you can't buy weekend licenses in Texas. You have to buy the full season at $315. I bought many a licenses when we used to have a lease in Del Rio.

Yeah, I was joking. Not trying to hijack the thread, but when you see Ben McDonald and the realtree guys hunting over there, you already know what it is

A friend of mine is on a lease nearby and they actually killed a deer last season that he was hunting. His game cam pics and some of the deer he’s killed have me jealous

We went on a guided duck hunt with a guy in CenLa that had some deer blinds with corn feeders in front of them. Charges $150/day or something like that. There was a minimum antler size but no upcharge for bucks if I remember correctly. So you pay for the chance to get one. Really makes me appreciate my family land we hunt on.

The corn wasn’t near the duck hunting. Just had some deer stands with feeders on the wooded part of the property. Don’t think there’s anything illegal with his setup.

Honestly I would think a good weekend hunt in TX would be cheaper than LA or MS so license would be least of your concern to cost.

Most places in SW MS or NE LA have closed that I can recall except Swamp Donkey and Tara. Serious cheese to go to those. Tatum Plantation in Centreville area may still be open.

I ended up getting a weekend trip in December at a place just south of Meridian called Mckenna Outfitters.
