What do you ground blind hunters use for a gun rest for shooting?
Little one will be hunting a good bit this year and we will be using ground blinds on occasion

Trigger Sticks by Primos are pretty nice.

I put my kids in a chair with the firearm attached to the bipod shooting stick. Then the butt of the gun just sits in their lap... if something comes out they just pick up the gun and lean forward for a shot.

Ive used a camera tripod and precision rifle rest.

Ive had that setup for probably 10 years now. Now they have really cool stuff like hog/pig saddles and really right stuff tripods and all that super dooper expensive stuff.

I "rigged" one up from a old tripod water sprinkler-put a V on top of it from a piece of wood. Works good enough with no investment.

For the kiddos I splurged and bought one of the Caldwell Fieldpods and its top notch. Ive always used sticks I made from fiberglass electric fenceposts and held together with calf castration bands to help form the V with them. Cheap and really solid. Since buying the fieldpod I use it when the kids aren't if I'm in a ground blind

a basic $30 tripod with modified rest top, or shooting sticks will work for young kids
I use a DCLW rest with Manfrotto bipod as I'm a accuracy freek. Been having it since 2008 and not sure it's even made anymore

Dann, dont really see that dclw stuff at all anymore. State of the art back then.
Really Right Stuff has all the cool kid stuff these days, but I'm not touching a $1200 tripod.

I have a Feisol CF tripod and will pull the trigger on a RRS leveling base with ball head and clamp when I can find a used one priced right
would look great under my Kelbly PRS rifle
