It was one of the ones they sell at Tractor Supply. They had to really want it. Drove onto my land and had to cut down 4-5 pine saplings to get it out. Not even sure how long ago they took it, could have been somewhere between December and the last couple of weeks. The pines they cut/ran over were completely brown.

Aren't thieves great?

I hope they get gored by a hog right in the nuts.

I wish someone would steal mine, never caught the first pig in it.I would lay a trail of corn into it,they would eat the corn as far as they could without actually going in.
My neighbor advised me not to buy it,he said the traps no longer worked in our area
but I didn’t listen.

Me and a buddy built our own, 25ft in diameter. Had about 10 - 15 pigs caught when the biggest, about 350lbs, kept running into the wire and eventually laid it flat. All escaped.

I bought them because they are fairly easy to move around in the back of a truck. Before this I had always used wooden corral type traps. I caught 32 in them last year and about the same number the year before. I would guess over 100 total in the 4 (now 3) that I have. I only run them when we have hog signs around which is usually just in the winter time. I've found that certain techniques help.

1. Bait the trap a least a week before you set it. Wire one of the doors up so that it stays open.
2. When you do set it, use a small stick to prop one of the doors open a little. For some reason that little bit of an opening helps convince them to push through. Once they open it more the stick falls and the door will fully shut.
3. Use something inside the trap in addition to corn. I have found the cheapest cake mix and imitation vanilla poured on top of the corn in the trap will bring them in. I still do the trail of corn to the trap but use something sweet inside the trap to draw them in.
4. Once you catch some in the trap, you might get lucky to catch some more in the next few days but typically you are better off just opening it back up for a couple of weeks. Hogs get educated quickly. However the same way you educate them by catching some you can also educate them to go back into the trap by feeding them with the doors open.

Edit to add: Raisins also work great.

It's all good. My son decided to come 3 months early and mess up his brother and my hunting season! He weighed 2lbs and 9 oz. He had to be transported to New Orleans for a couple of procedures. We are home and doing well! He is over 16lbs now and should be completely fine.

Once knew an old hog trapper that said he caught more hogs using fish heads than corn. Expand your technique.

If you still had that one from tractor supply with the 3 rooting gates, I’d tell you to make sure you zip tie some hardware cloth or chicken wire to the top above the gates to prevent piglet escape (they walk up the gates and jump out the top which has larger hole spacing than the sides).

Hopefully whoever stole it gets arse cancer or run over by a dump truck.
