Hopedale Fishing Spots

I know most don't like giving up there spots, but was curious if I can get some good areas to fish. I grew up fishing Cocodrie and Grand Isle, so I'm not very familiar with the Biloxi marsh up through the rigolets. I plan on launching at BSM in Hopedale this weekend, where should I run. I have heard people talk about the MRGO rocks, is that the rocks that are just south of the marina?
Any reccomendations will be helpful. I'll be in an 18' Xpress, so would rather stay out of the big open waters.

Also will BSM have live bait?

Rocks are probably the jetties. Look at a map to see how you get there now that MRGO is dammed. Troll until you find fish.

Take the spoil canal to the MRGO, and when you see the other boats, you'll know you're in the right spot. LaSportsman has a thread I believe that outlines the one or two hazards in the spoil canal.
Or just hang a left out of the marina and fish the rock dam. 3 minute boat ride, and there's always fish there.

The rock are at the end of the Mrgo canal it's a little bit of a run. Maybe fifty sixty miles round trip. Get maps and do some looking on google earth in your phone. Run spoil canal till connects with the Mrgo then run down the mr go a ways until you start to see a pretty good defined set of rocks on either side with water on the other side of the rocks troll 20 yards off the rocks till you find fish. No matter what you do launching at bsm will be hectic. Buddy got there last Saturday at 5 and waited thirty minutes to launch but was still able to get bait.

BSM has had live bait every single time that we've gone over the past few years.
The rocks are where most boats seem to go.
The rock dam can be slow on both sides but you'll usually be able to pull some out. We caught some trout there last time but then they stopped and all we started catching were croakers, toadfish, and ribbonfish.
The thing that I love about the area is the variety of fish you can catch. It makes it fun.

i usually do fairly well in the breaks in the outer rocks with a moving tide. I don't go there often though but those have always produced.

Got a lead on a spot last time me and some friends were down there. Conditions weren't the greatest but we still caught a few fish. Head to the north side of Lena Lagoon pick a cut and start fishing.
Before you head that way I would fish the dam first
hope it helps.

Good deal, I will give lena lagoon a shot. MRGO sounds like it could be a pretty good hike, idk if i will make it that far down. I guess it will depend on whether or not we are catching fish.

Biloxi Marsh
Just moved my boat to delacroix , but I had it at BSM for a few months and fished the Biloxi marsh. Good area for reds and did well with trout in March/April but not sure if the trout will still be there. I have an 18ft Xpress as well and its a quick run from BSM. Some of these areas get shallow but I never had a problem in the main canals.
Great people at BSM. Always had live shrimp and they were very helpfull/friendly.
