Anyone ever done this. It's annoying.

Also can automatic door locks be disabled?

Seat belt chime is a bitch, it's builtin to a board under the dash. Read your owners manual for the sequence to disable the automatic lovking

On my Silverado you can change the auto door lock with the dash button that looks like a check list.
Seat belt use it or buckle it behind you.

Not finding it in the manual anywhere. We gone through some sequences from older models that tells us to do it through the radio but it doesn't work on the 2014 model.

Still searching the owners manual.

Thanks AFL.

Maybe you could just find a buckle at a junkyard

I read it in mine but it's been to long ago for me to remember where, sorry. Call a dealership service dept and ask.

Looks like buying a dummy clip for the seatbelt will be our best bet for that.

Please tell more on the auto door lock. Not sure where the check list button is located.

Doesn't appear they are interested selling just the clip here at our local junk yard. I asked them if they would just cut the clip off, and they would have none of that.

I dont think the chime can be turned off on the 2014 + models anymore. I could be wrong but I havent been successful at finding out how.

Ok with the vehicle off and the key on use the up and down arrows on the right side of the steering wheel and scroll to settings on the screen in the center of the dash. You will have to find where it's at because I can't recall off the top of Mt head but if you just use the arrows on the steering wheel you can navigate thru all the menus until you find it

Find a wrecked one. Shops don't reuse seat belts after bad wrecks.

That would be my option to choose! I didn't ask you if I should or should not wear the seatbelt. I asked how to disable the alarm.

Why would I want to sit in the camp ground with the seatbelt on, just to silence the alarm?

It sits there and chimes in the camp ground when the door is open. There are many reasons I might want the door open without the chime going off. That is the sole reason for wanting to disable it.

I didn't need Mungs response. I didn't ask if I should or should not wear the seat belt. I ask how to disable it.
