If you're a Louisiana resident, you may purchase a Lifetime Hunting, Fishing, or Combination Hunting and Fishing License. The cost varies according to your age at the time of purchase. A Lifetime License is valid for life and remains valid even if you become a resident of another state.

yes, you are licensed withing the state of louisiana for life, doesnt matter that you are now a non-resident because you are already fully licensed for life here

a friend just went through looking into that

but obviously you get no credit for having it in the new state.

she wanted to try to trade it in for another states lifetime license and wasnt happy it doesnt work that way

Have used mine for the last 3 years out of state. Just have to stop at a store or order the license online. The card does not take the place of the license. You don't pay for anything other than duck stamp.

Yes, I got mine before I moved out of state. No issues.

Buy the lifetime license before you move out of state so you can avoid non-resident license prices every time you want to come back

Are you sure? We got checked by the green jeans this weekend. I handed him my blue card with my duck stamp on the back and he didn't say anything. Then again he was a pretty cool guy so maybe he just let me slide.

What do you mean by this? To my knowledge the blue card IS the license and the only thing I needed to stop at a store for was to have deer/turkey tags printed. And federal duck stamp.

This is what I do plus for hip certification. I haven’t been checked though.

Pretty sure that is wrong. Blue card is good as long as the stamp is on the back. Now you will have to get hip printed or you can save a PDF on your phone.

wrong... below is what's stated on the back of the card:

"this license must be in your possession and produced upon demand. Always carry your drivers license or some form of photo ID when using this license."

You can now have the license added to your DL as an endorsement.

I saw Green Jeans at a High School Football Game this year and he said once you buy it you can move anywhere and come back to hunt.

Bought my daughters when she was 13 lifetime hunting and fishing for $300.00

At 14 years old it went to $500.00

That’s a cool deal and she uses the hell out of it.
