Jet burner or Banjo burner for crawfish boiling

I've always used a single jet burner with a 30# propane regulator for my boils. I've never been to a boil where anyone used the banjo style burners. I actually kind like the sound of the jet burner while boiling. Puts me in the boiling spirit.
What would be the benefit to switching to the banjo type using propane?

I have a banjo for my lighter duty frying setup but I have a double jet with high pressure reg for my boil set up. Used that particular banjo on a 32Qt pot once and it took 30 min to get a boil.
Definitely like my double jet 60QT setup alot more.
But I here the Banjo is quicker. Haven't had a setup to prove it myself, just youtube

This guy does a side by side comparison.

a jet burner. That's a natural gas or LP burner.

I have this burner and love it , you can hold a conversation while boiling . Only downfall is if water boils over it will rust over time . Still works though . Banjo burner .

I was reading this thread about it and some dude that claims to have ran a crawfish catering business said this.

K I'll chime in on this one.............
I ran a crawfish boiling business for years before I got into the charter business. Still do a couple large corporate boils though. Here's my 2 cents..............
My regulator is homemade so I can get max BTU's out of the burner. Closest thing to it you could buy is this...........https://www.bayouclassicdepot.com/sp1...jet_burner.htm
A 160qt pot is a pain. I have a 120. Fill it a quarter way with water start the boil. When that gets hot add the rest of the water. It will cut your wait time to heat up that much water in half.
If you want to put two sacks in it............Take out the basket. Put the seafood and trimmings in the pot. Scoop them out with a crab net when done. You can fit up to three sacks in a 120 this way. ENJOY!

Banjo with 60psi reg.
I'm never going back to jet.

Is there a reason to use a regulator? I go direct and have to watch I do not burn a hole in the bottom of the pot

I use banjo only these days. I don't mind it taking a few more minutes in lieu of not being able to hear myself talk to people while I am cooking.

That guy is a moron. You get more heat transfer at higher delta-T.

I hate jet burners. All they are good for is making noise and being cheap/easy to make.
The name of the game is flow rate and you can flow more gas out of a bunch of small holes than you can out of one big one, and be more efficient doing it.

I could see doing this to jumpstart your potatoes if you're a one pot guy.
