Kids Playhouse (build plans?)

Has anyone built their own playhouse that could share plans or pics? Looking to build one this fall that will be off the ground. Idea is for it to be about 6x6.
Im sure this will get expensive and I could save a lot of headache by buying one, but what's the fun in that!

I built my son a 10x12 deck 4' off the ground. Put 6' tall walls on 3 sides of it and kept the two side walls about 2' from the front. All treated for the deck, 6 4x4 posts, used fence boards for the siding and metal 4/12 roof. Was roughly 1500 by the time I put hand rails on it and a swing on one side and a slide going out of the window on the other. He would play in that thing for hours even if it was raining or chilly. Based it off of this picture

The problem with buying a playhouse kit is they are pretty much cheaply made and don't really hold up well over time. My nephew got one for his son, put it together and in about 2 years the thing is rickety as hell, some rot is showing in the area of ground contact and what you'll spend on one is probably more than you building one would cost.
Do a google search for playhouse plans and I'm pretty sure you will get tons of ideas. Some sites offer plans for sale with materials and cut lists for a few bucks. Or, check out the pictures and devise your own design and go from there.

Check out easternjunglegym.com and look at their swing sets, hardware kits, and accessories.
I bought the A frame swing set brackets from Amazon and just picked up some treated wood from Lowe’s. NillaWafer is still only 2 so I’ve only hung a couple of kids swings from the A frame so far.
You can look at their designs and buy only the parts you think you’d want.

I did about 3 years ago.
Most expensive part of it is the damn slide. I bought two slides for 6' heights, one straight that was used, and one new one that has the hump in the middle. $500 for the two. Overall, i probably spent about $1,200 building it. The wood isn't what cost money. It was the slides, other accessories, and the screws. I used all SS screws as i expect this thing to last.
Mine is 6 feet off the ground. Built one staircase for one entrance. There's a firemans pole, a set of monkey bars, and a little pulley with a bucket to haul things up it off one end. There's two slides and the staircase on the other end. both of those are about 18' long. the shorter end is 8' long and has a rock wall to climb into it. The other end has the swing sets connected to it with a look out tower above them, which is 12' off the ground. Had to make sure that was extremely sturdy. Didn't put a roof over it but you can play underneath it as i sealed up the decking so the water doesn't leak through. I've got 3 areas underneath it each 6'x8'. One has sand in it, the other is a parking spot for the truck, and the other has yard crap in it.
It is completely adult proof. I weight 250lbs and i can walk anywhere on it, go down the slides and swing and there be no problem whatsoever. I expect it to stay sturdy until they get old enough to not have any use for it anymore, which i would think would be another 5 years maybe.
Mine has been up for 3 years, and has shown zero signs of weakening anywhere. If you buy one of those expensive arse ones from walmart or academy, it'll start falling apart after a few years, and the biggest thing with those is that they are for little kids. You get a 12 year old to start swinging on it, and it will look like it will fall to pieces. My swings hang from a 4x8 and are supported by 4x4's.

Here's a guy from Houston that builds and sells plans. I built one of these about 10 years ago. Still holding up great.

My kids are getting older and their playhouse is falling apart. It has three slides that are in tip top shape. I'd be willing to let them go real cheap. Located in thibodaux.

Wolfman post some pictures of the slides. Buying a new house end of this year and I plan on building a playhouse.

Design your own. That’s half the fun.

Let your kids help you design it. Let their imagination run, that is what is fun.
