This. Robert Millner is the guy that started bringing labs from GB because of their more calm nature.
He sold Wildrose to a guy and he wanted to breed their british with american labs. They didn't do well.
Mike Stewart ended up buying the kennel and moving it to Oxford.
Either of these would be spectacular dogs. I do like that Duckhill's dogs are a little smaller and they have some they call canoe dogs and they are even smaller. 50-60 males and 40-50lbs female.
Millner sold Wildrose and trained dogs. He specialized in training cadaver dogs. Not sure if he still does that or not but he started Duckbill 10-15 yrs ago.
My dog came from the original wildrose line but wasn't from either of those kennels. He will be 14 this week and is the best dog I've ever owned.

Yep. Pretty dogs too. If I wasn't such a black lab guy I would get a red from him for sure.

My lab from Mossy Oak in West Point is a great dog. Very calm around the house, but all business when hunting or training. Very smart and has been very easy to train.

Obviously there is a difference between British and English.
Those British look more like the everyday Labrador.
I'm a English fan. Short, stocky, block heads, super fat tail. The type you see in the Westminster dog show.

English Bayou Labradors has one chocolate male. He's super cute! I inquired about him but 3K. The wife said keep looking.
Go check him out on their FB page.

Best dog I ever had came from Huntsfield Labs. Was a hell of a hunting dog, but was an even better friend/ family dog.
Tearing up now thinking about him.
I doubt I ever own another dog that will come close to that one.

That's some pretty dogs. My English looked just like the mom of all of those puppies. I'd get another one in a heartbeat.

I have a Duckhill dog and am very happy. But if I am not mistaken, I think they are shutting their doors. I believe Mr. Milner passed away.

I did not know that, but looks like he passed away last July. Will try to find out if they plan to close.

I went to habitat flats a few weeks ago. I was told you can get a puppy from their kennels for 2500 and a training contract at 900 a month

I also have a Huntfield lab thats just over 3 months. Highly recommend them! Even at 3 months I've had people freak out over how calm he is. Great dog around the house and very smart. Plan is to start working him for blood trailing but he may be too spoiled already lol.

Saw on Huntfields page that Snook (red rocket) trains some?
